Background:
Ludgvan Community primary School is situated in the heart of Ludgvan village, near Marazion and Penzance, close to Mounts Bay. It is a modern building set in beautiful grounds with the benefit of superb views across the countryside. There is a large school hall in which the pupils have physical education, eat lunch and gather for assemblies. It also has two playgrounds; a recently developed garden and a grass play area. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. To enrich and extend the national curriculum the school invites a range of visitors to work with the children. These include wildlife experts, theatre companies, health and environmental agencies and emergency agencies. The school'strives to create a calm, yet stimulating and purposeful learning environment in which the child is safe, happy and thus able to achieve their full potential.
