Background:
The school's original building, erected in the late 19th century, now houses the infants and playgroup. A new building, which now comprises a hall, junior classroom, library and computer suite, was added in the late 1970s. The youngest junior class is taught in an Elliott building. There are two playgrounds and a large playing field adjoining the school, which is set in a rural location. With only three classes and a 15-PC dedicated computer suite, there is 'exceptionally good provision' for ICT. The school is very actively involved with community projects involving local businesses, societies and welfare groups. There are after-school clubs for craft, games and square dancing.
