Veryan CofE School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 5-11. It is situated at the heart of the village of Veryan. It was built in 1872 on the site of the earlier school built by Jeremiah Trist, the parish vicar, as a place to educate the children of the parish. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to provide a high standard of learning, both academic and social, set within a context of Christian values.
