Background:
Mawgan-in-Pydar is a community primary school situated in the heart of the village of St Mawgan in Cornwall. The school is close to the parish church and field and next to the delightful river Menlhy. The school building, which has been much improved in recent years, has four classrooms, library and computer suite. The school'serves the community of St Mawgan involving the village in many of its activities and events. All children will have the opportunity to join in singing and playing percussion instruments. These are provided through the goodwill of the staff and volunteers, and usually take place at lunchtime or straight after-school. The school aims to provide a high quality education that will realise the intellectual, social, emotional and physical potential of each individual.
