Background:
Gulval Community Primary School is a village school built on the outskirts of Penzance. The school library has been moved into a new staff room were completed to accommodate rising numbers. Each class has one hour of ICT skills teaching per week and progression is ensured by use of the ICT scheme of work adapted for Gulval from the QCA scheme. The school offers a wide range of activities including: guitar, cross-country, recorders, football, rugby, drama, chess, netball, rounders and gardening. The school aims to create a happy, harmonious atmosphere conducive to learning and an environment in which children can develop individually, with an awareness of the needs of others in an ordered society.
