Background:

Marazion School is a co-educational primary school, maintained by Cornwall county council. The school is an attractive granite building, dating from 1908, overlooking Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. It consists of four classrooms, cloakrooms, a well-stocked library and two offices. The school also has its own kitchen and dining room. Children enjoy the use of large grounds and playing field. A full programme of sports and games is provided, including swimming, football, rounders, athletics etc. The school has a good musical tradition. There is a choir and children can also learn to play violin. In addition the school offers many other clubs including karate, sailing club, youth club, guitar club, singing and drama club and craft club. Educational visits are also arranged and these vary from major trips such as the residential camp to smaller local trips to places of interest. The school aims to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which all members of the school are valued, grow in self-esteem and develop their full potential.
