Sir James is a small mixed comprehensive school, 11-18 with a total of 653 pupils on roll in September 2004. The school covers the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, physical education, citizenship and religious education. The school recognises that the use of information and communication technology significantly enhances learning by enabling rapid access by enabling rapid access to knowledge from a wide range of sources. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including art club, badminton, basketball, music, rugby and drama.
