Background:

Mousehole Primary School was founded in 1902 in the 'beautiful Cornish fishing village' of Mousehole. It is set in three buildings and has four classrooms, a school hall, a 'very advanced computer suite' with 10 computers all linked to the internet and a playing field. The school has a history of 'sporting success' and enjoys links with other school through sporting activities. Clubs include choir, recorders, tennis, netball, towerball, football, line-dancing, French, art, computers, athletics, cross country and rounders. Music is growing in the school with individuals taking lessons and the formation of a wind band. Dance and drama performances are held each year and poetry workshops are a regular feature. The Parent-Teacher Association has provided valuable financial support to the school in recent years including producing the 'Mousehole Cookbook'. There are also charity events which have recently been used to raise money for donations to Children in Need.
